Exploring N Seoul Tower in Spring (봄)~ Exploring Korean Places

It has always been my dream to see the cherry blossoms during Spring in Korea. Unfortunately, my hubby and I were not able to see the full bloom of cherry blossoms because we arrived a week late. (In 2018, cherry blossom peak in Seoul was forcasted on April 6 ~ 13 while we arrived on April 16). When we arrived in Seoul, I noticed that only few cherry blossom trees were remained. I was thinking of a place wherein many Cherry Blossom trees were planted and thought of Yeouido first. But since the guesthouse we were staying in is located near Myeongdong Station (near exit 3) and N Seoul Tower Cable Car (also known as Namsan Tower Cable Car) is nearer that place, we took the chance to go there to check if there were still remaining Cherry Blossoms left.

On our way to N Seoul Tower. Few cherry blossom trees left.

"To reach the boarding place, walk about 10~15 minutes following the street of the right side of Pacific Hotel, after coming out of the exit 3 of Myeongdon Station (Line 4)." (Source: http://www.nseoultower.co.kr/)

But instead of 15 minutes, we walked for around 30 minutes until we arrive at Namsan Tower Cable Car. The way towards the main road was steep so it was difficult for us. We saw few cherry blossoms left on our way there.

WELCOME TO N SEOUL TOWER CABLE CAR!!!!

We took the N Seoul Tower Cable Car to go to N Seoul Tower. As you can see from the pictures below, the tower is already visible when you ride the cable car.

N Seoul Tower Cable Car is operating from 10am to 11pm. The ticket prices are the following:

**Same rates for children apply to the elderly (over 65 years)

We selected the Adult return ticket (around 475php or 9.5 USD) since we could have discount comparing if we chose the Adult one-way ticket (around 350php or 7USD). We thought it would be convenient to use the cable car on our way back.

As soon as we get off from the cable car, there it is!!!! CHERRY BLOSSOMS!!!! So we immediately took our pictures, having the Cherry Blossoms as our background.

LOOK AT THE LOVE LOCKS!!!!

Love locks are very popular in N Seoul Tower. It is because Love Locks symbolize endless love between couples. As you can see, there are love locks everywhere. In fact, on our way to riding the cable car, there are stalls that sell love locks as well. This place became a hot spot for dating between couples as you can see great views too.

Cherry Blossoms behind the love locks! We took this chance to capture the remaining cherry blossoms.

Yes! I really love the cherry blossoms!

There is an entrance fee if you want to go inside up to the top of N Seoul Tower. See the details below:

Since it was not my first time going to N Seoul Tower and my main agenda really was the cherry blossoms, we skipped going to the observatory and wandered around the place more.

THE SEOUL TOWER PLAZA

While wandering around, we saw this Seoul Tower Plaza where you can go in for free! It is like an attraction where you can do a pictorial with your loved ones. My hubby and I maximized this opportunity and roamed around the place.

You could see below was the OLED wave on the 4th floor~ So fascinating!

Then the 3D World! Take a look~ It's so magical!

Then we took more and more pictures!! Coz you know, it's free. HAHA.

FOLLOWING THE TRAILS OF CHERRY BLOSSOMS DOWNHILL

I mentioned earlier that we bought the Adult return ticket because it was much cheaper and it would be convenient to go back via cable car. But when we were on the 4th floor of the Seoul Tower Plaza, I saw that the trail road still had some cherry blossoms left. So I asked hubby if it was okay to follow the trails of cherry blossoms instead. And he said yes! So here are the few cherry blossoms left on the trail. You could see that many cherry blossom petals were on the ground already. Maybe in a few days all of the cherry blossoms would have fallen into the ground.

The car was speeding at 44kph~

THE CHERRY BLOSSOMS ARE FALLING!!!!!

Hubby ran at 12kph haha

We saw a place where you could exercise! So we also gave it a try~

OUTSIDE THE NAMSAN PUBLIC LIBRARY

One of the places I really wanted to visit was a public library in Korea. Thankfully, we were able to go into one because we saw the Namsan Public Library on our way home. I did not take any photos inside because I was afraid it was not allowed. So here is the picture of my hubby and I outside with the statue of Yi Hwang (이황), one of the famous Korean scholars.

After checking sites about N Seoul Tower, I saw a picture entitled "Relaxation in the City". I realized that our tracks on our way home -- walking down the main road -- was exactly this trail but in reverse. We were from Namsan Seoul Tower then saw this place for contemplation, which I believed the place were we exercised, then the Namsan Public Library.

We ended our N Seoul Tower adventure as we walked and walked until we were back in our guest house in Myeongdong. It was indeed a beautiful memory because I was able to see the beauty of cherry blossoms with my most beloved one, my husband.
